Description:

We found Poor Miro being kept in horrible conditions, tied to a chain 24-7.  He was brought to our vet in a very bad condition, but thankfully he recovered.

Last November Miro finally found his family and travelled over to the UK

Miro is now however back in kennels in the UK waiting for his very special someone to see him and fall in love. Everyone who meets Miro falls in love with him, he’s so desperate to be loved and is the best cuddler. All Miro has ever wanted is to belong and it’s heartbreaking to see him returned to his kennel after his walk each day. He’s incredibly loving and bonds very quickly.

We are looking for a one in a million kind of home for our lovely boy . Miro does come with history and our team will be completely transparent when speaking to any potential home. For his safety we must get it right. Miro needs a quiet rural / semi rural home with a nice size secure garden in an adult only household with out any other animals. His special person will have to have large breed Romanian shepherd experience and be happy to come and meet Miro to build up a relationship with him, his trainer and our team who know him best. Miro is easily overwhelmed by his environment so he will need someone who will take their time and check in with Miro and make sure he’s ok. To the right home Miro will follow you to the ends of the earth and be the most loyal dog you could possibly imagine. Miro has started scent training and he’s an absolutely natural. Our lovely team who have been caring for Miro say it has also helped lower his anxiety. Miro isn’t great at reading other dogs and can sometimes be reactive on lead. Miro is strong but walks beautifully on lead, he is muzzle trained and is very comfortable wearing one. Anyone adopting Miro will need to know that he must wear a muzzle at all times whilst outside the house and be kept on a double lead. Whilst in the house if having visitors Miro must also be muzzled or placed in a room and kept safe

Thank you for your interest in Miro if you would like to apply to adopt one of our dogs, please read the ‘How do I Adopt’ pages, where you can find more information about the process and the costs involved.

As you can imagine, each one of our dogs is very precious to us, they haven’t had the best start in life and therefore it is absolutely crucial we find the right homes for them.  When you complete a registration form, please tell us as much as you can about why you are looking to adopt a dog and how you think you can meet their needs.  Every dog is an individual and our amazing rehoming team will know exactly what type of home each dog needs to thrive.  For example, will the dog cope with a small garden or is it the type of dog who needs to live in a rural environment?  Will the dog enjoy being around children, or is it best suited to an adult only home?  Will it cope sharing a home with other pets, or is it best as an only dog?  Are you outdoorsy types who like to go hiking, or would you prefer a dog who is happy to snuggle up on the sofa with you?  Our rehoming team will be very familiar with the needs of each of our dogs and the information you provide on your application form will help them to match you with the right dog.
