Description:
Poor Miro’s life began in the most heartbreaking way—chained up 24/7, living in miserable conditions with no love or comfort. When we rescued him, he was in a terrible state, but thanks to expert care and his incredible resilience, he made a full recovery. In November 2023, Miro’s dream finally came true—he found a family and made the journey to the UK, ready to start his new life. But sadly, his happiness was short-lived, and he now finds himself back in kennels, still waiting for someone to give him the forever home he so desperately craves.
Miro is the kind of dog who steals hearts instantly. He longs for affection, thrives on love, and gives the best cuddles. Seeing him return to his kennel after his daily walk is utterly heartbreaking—he just wants to belong. He bonds quickly, loves deeply, and is ready to give his whole heart to the right person. Could you be the one to finally give Miro the love and security he’s been searching for? He’s been let down before, but with the right home, his story can finally have the happy ending he deserves.
We are looking for a one-in-a-million kind of home for our lovely boy. Miro does come with history and our team will be completely transparent when speaking to any potential home. For his safety, we must get it right. Miro needs a quiet rural / semi-rural home with a nice-sized secure garden in an adult-only household without any other animals. His special person will have to have large-breed Romanian shepherd experience and be happy to come and meet Miro to build up a relationship with him, his trainer and our team who know him best. Miro is easily overwhelmed by his environment so he will need someone who will take their time and check in with Miro and make sure he’s ok. To the right home, Miro will follow you to the ends of the earth and be the most loyal dog you could possibly imagine. Miro has started scent training, and he’s an absolute natural. Our lovely team who have been caring for Miro say it has also helped lower his anxiety. Miro isn’t great at reading other dogs and can sometimes be reactive on the lead. Miro is strong but walks beautifully on the lead. He is muzzle-trained and is very comfortable wearing one. Anyone adopting Miro will need to know that he must wear a muzzle at all times whilst outside the house and be kept on a double lead. Whilst in the house if having visitors, Miro must also be muzzled or placed in a room and kept safe
Thank you for your interest in Miro if you would like to apply to adopt one of our dogs, please read the ‘How do I Adopt’ pages, where you can find more information about the process and the costs involved.
As you can imagine, each one of our dogs is very precious to us, they haven’t had the best start in life and therefore it is absolutely crucial we find the right homes for them. When you complete a registration form, please tell us as much as you can about why you are looking to adopt a dog and how you think you can meet their needs. Every dog is an individual and our amazing rehoming team will know exactly what type of home each dog needs to thrive. For example, will the dog cope with a small garden or is it the type of dog who needs to live in a rural environment? Will the dog enjoy being around children, or is it best suited to an adult only home? Will it cope sharing a home with other pets, or is it best as an only dog? Are you outdoorsy types who like to go hiking, or would you prefer a dog who is happy to snuggle up on the sofa with you? Our rehoming team will be very familiar with the needs of each of our dogs and the information you provide on your application form will help them to match you with the right dog.
