Description:
Please meet Manolo through no fault of his own he is unable to be rehomed anywhere except the UK because some sub-human decided to cut his ears to make him look more threatening whilst on the chain in their yard. It didn’t work, so they dumped him at the Public Shelter and 1 Dog At a Time have been asked to help. We are his last chance of a normal life.
Please don’t let his ears put you off, Manolo is a friendly boy, definitely a couch dog who loves home comforts. He’s not an active dog, he does love walks, but he prefers to lay on the couch snuggled up next to someone. He is ok with calm dogs male or female. He’s not good with cats.
Manolo has had two foster homes – in the first one he stayed for 6 months, but because of personal reasons the lady wasn’t able to foster him any longer. The second foster home had an old entire male dog that used to attack Manolo, one day Manolo fought back, and he was taken back to the Public Shelter. Because of Manolo’s looks and his cut ears he is banned from entering any countries in Europe. He doesn’t stand any chance at all of being rehomed in Europe. We were asked if we could help – if we don’t he will live the remainder of life behind bars in the dreadful Public Shelter. We can’t let him down.
Do you have a place in your heart and home for Manolo? If so please fill out a registration form and one of rehoming team will be in touch.
Thank you for your interest in Manolo if you would like to apply to adopt one of our dogs, please read the
‘How do I Adopt’ pages, where you can find more information about the process and the costs involved.
As you can imagine, each one of our dogs is very precious to us, they haven’t had the best start in life and therefore it is absolutely crucial we find the right homes for them. When you complete a registration form, please tell us as much as you can about why you are looking to adopt a dog and how you think you can meet their needs. Every dog is an individual and our amazing rehoming team will know exactly what type of home each dog needs to thrive. For example, will the dog cope with a small garden or is it the type of dog who needs to live in a rural environment? Will the dog enjoy being around children, or is it best suited to an adult only home? Will it cope sharing a home with other pets, or is it best as an only dog? Are you outdoorsy types who like to go hiking, or would you prefer a dog who is happy to snuggle up on the sofa with you? Our rehoming team will be very familiar with the needs of each of our dogs and the information you provide on your application form will help them to match you with the right dog.
