Description:
Freya is a beautifully coloured and very pretty med/large sized dog, who is desperately seeking a loving home to call her own. She is a sweet girl, filled with an overwhelming desire for affection, and her soft, soulful eyes will touch your heart.
Freya’s heart yearns for a place she can call home, a calm, loving sanctuary where she can feel safe and take her time to settle. She needs the gentle reassurance of an understanding family and preferably another friendly dog who will patiently nurture her as she learns to trust and flourish as she transitions from life in a kennel to life in a home.
Her ideal home is one surrounded by the peace of a rural or semi-rural setting, with direct access to a secure garden laid to lawn where she can explore and unwind. Freya has begun learning the basics of walking on a lead, and her new family will need to build on this foundation to continue her training. Freya isn’t asking for much, just a chance to be loved, to belong, and to finally experience the warmth of a forever family.
Freya and her siblings, Maya and Luca, were cruelly discarded, left to face an unthinkable fate in a bin. Their tiny lives were hanging by a thread, abandoned and forgotten. But in the midst of this heartbreak, a kind soul stepped in—a hero who refused to let them perish alone. Thanks to their compassion, Freya and her siblings were rescued and given a chance at life. Now, Freya waits in kennels at our shelter, Happys, for her next miracle: a loving family to call her own.
Could you be the one to change her life? Freya is ready to give her whole heart to the family who gives her that chance.
Thank you for your interest in Freya. If you would like to apply to adopt one of our dogs, please read the ‘How do I Adopt’ pages, where you can find more information about the process and the costs involved.
As you can imagine, each one of our dogs is very precious to us. They haven’t had the best start in life, and therefore, it is absolutely crucial we find the right homes for them. When you complete a registration form, please tell us as much as you can about why you are looking to adopt a dog and how you think you can meet their needs. Every dog is an individual, and our amazing rehoming team will know exactly what type of home each dog needs to thrive. For example, will the dog cope with a small garden or is it the type of dog who needs to live in a rural environment? Will the dog enjoy being around children, or is it best suited to an adult only home? Will it cope sharing a home with other pets, or is it best as an only dog? Are you outdoorsy types who like to go hiking, or would you prefer a dog who is happy to snuggle up on the sofa with you? Our rehoming team will be very familiar with the needs of each of our dogs, and the information you provide on your application form will help them to match you with the right dog.
