Description:

Cassie and her 8 siblings were originally found abandoned, hungry and alone at a chicken abattoir in 2021. They were put into foster in a friends yard where we built a large kennel run until we had space available for them at Happy’s. Sadly, one of her brothers, Casper didn’t make it, it was just too late for him.

Cassie came over from Happy’s to the UK in 2022 and spent 3 years in what we thought was her forever home. Sadly, through no fault of her own her family want to return her to the rescue

We would dearly love to find a calm experienced home in a rural semi rural location with a nice secure garden, with not too many comings and goings so Harley can start to decompress from her previous home which was in a more suburban setting. She is easily aroused by noise and will become distracted by outside noise.

We do think she would possibly enjoy the company of another calm friendly dog to keep her company, but could equally be happy being an only dog and get everyone in the households attention. She is however nervous of other dogs so will openly try to avoid them. She hasn’t lived with cats and will chase

Harley is initially nervous when she meets new people and will bark when meeting strangers, but soon warms up with a calm introduction and then looks for attention. She adores tummy rubs and affection. Harley is house trained and walks nicely on her lead, she is not disruptive in the house when left for a few hours and sleeps through the night

Thank you for your interest in Harley. If you would like to apply to adopt one of our dogs, please read the ‘How do I Adopt’ pages, where you can find more information about the process and the costs involved.

As you can imagine, each one of our dogs is very precious to us, they haven’t had the best start in life and therefore it is absolutely crucial we find the right homes for them.  When you complete a registration form, please tell us as much as you can about why you are looking to adopt a dog and how you think you can meet their needs.  Every dog is an individual and our amazing rehoming team will know exactly what type of home each dog needs to thrive.  For example, will the dog cope with a small garden or is it the type of dog who needs to live in a rural environment?  Will the dog enjoy being around children, or is it best suited to an adult only home?  Will it cope sharing a home with other pets, or is it best as an only dog?  Are you outdoorsy types who like to go hiking, or would you prefer a dog who is happy to snuggle up on the sofa with you?  Our rehoming team will be very familiar with the needs of each of our dogs and the information you provide on your application form will help them to match you with the right dog.

We’d love to chat…
