Description:
We stepped in to help Benji when we saw him advertised on a pet selling site. Benji came over from Romania with his family when he was a puppy. Unfortunately, their situation has changed and his family want to do the best for him. He’s being left for most of the day alone whilst they are at work and his family want a better life for him. Here is what Benji’s Mum says about him, she really adores him and it is a difficult decision:-
Benji is a black Labrador born in Romania his passport and health certificate up to date. Benji loves the outdoors, he is very sociable, playful and happy to travel by car and excited for new challenges around the town. He likes going to the woods, the parks, jumping in the river, he is slowly getting used to the beach. Benji is fully house trained but will not ask to go out, he will wait for his routine walks. Benji is happy to walk on leash but loves to run freely chasing after birds and squirrels. His recall is good but sometimes he gets easily distracted, he gets very excited about children and other furry friends, he loves to play catch. He never had proper training but he knows the basic commands like sit, stay and also the “drop it” command as he likes to steal my little ones toys,. He is still a puppy even though he is a big boy, not used to cats indoors he is always ready to chase the ones that he finds on our walks . He need lots of attention and will need someone with him most of the time.
Benji is ready to look for his new family, if you think you could offer him a loving forever home, please fill out a registration form and one of our rehoming team will be in touch.
Thank you for your interest in Benji if you would like to apply to adopt one of our dogs, please read the ‘How do I Adopt’ pages, where you can find more information about the process and the costs involved.
As you can imagine, each one of our dogs is very precious to us, they haven’t had the best start in life and therefore it is absolutely crucial we find the right homes for them. When you complete a registration form, please tell us as much as you can about why you are looking to adopt a dog and how you think you can meet their needs. Every dog is an individual and our amazing rehoming team will know exactly what type of home each dog needs to thrive. For example, will the dog cope with a small garden or is it the type of dog who needs to live in a rural environment? Will the dog enjoy being around children, or is it best suited to an adult only home? Will it cope sharing a home with other pets, or is it best as an only dog? Are you outdoorsy types who like to go hiking, or would you prefer a dog who is happy to snuggle up on the sofa with you? Our rehoming team will be very familiar with the needs of each of our dogs and the information you provide on your application form will help them to match you with the right dog.
