Description:

Amy-Rose was bought over from Romania and unfortunately the home didn’t work out. A kind lady stepped in to foster her but she is now unable to keep her long term

Her foster mum says:

Amy-Rose is a sweet girl, very friendly with people and dogs ..no cats and gets very anxious around kids.
Walks perfectly on lead ..and is trained to live in the house..no pee or poo in the house.
Loves her toys and relaxing time on the sofa. A very chilled and peaceful dog ..not much walking required. Ideal for chilled people or older people.. she’s very shy and scared and needs time to just trust people. A secure garden would be ideal so she does not try to escape. Once she knows you and trusts you she is the perfect dog .. honestly I have moments when I forgot I have her in the house

Amy-Rose loves ladies but is untrusting of men, although once she knows the man she is ok, this is from being a victim of beatings in Romania. Her mum was apparently a Labrador

We are looking for a rural /semi rural home with a secure garden with lawn
Someone around most of the day to help her learn to relax and trust
A Gentle calm home in a nice quiet area. If there is a man in the house he will need to be calm, patient and understanding (after 2.5 weeks Amy was ok around Fosterer’s husband )
No children
Amy-Rose can be rehomed with other calm friendly dogs but she is scared of boisterous dogs that jump all over her

Thank you for your interest in Amy-Rose. If you would like to apply to adopt one of our dogs, please read the ‘How do I Adopt’ pages, where you can find more information about the process and the costs involved.
As you can imagine, each one of our dogs is very precious to us, they haven’t had the best start in life and therefore it is absolutely crucial we find the right homes for them. When you complete a registration form, please tell us as much as you can about why you are looking to adopt a dog and how you think you can meet their needs. Every dog is an individual and our amazing rehoming team will know exactly what type of home each dog needs to thrive. For example, will the dog cope with a small garden or is it the type of dog who needs to live in a rural environment? Will the dog enjoy being around children, or is it best suited to an adult only home? Will it cope sharing a home with other pets, or is it best as an only dog? Are you outdoorsy types who like to go hiking, or would you prefer a dog who is happy to snuggle up on the sofa with you? Our rehoming team will be very familiar with the needs of each of our dogs and the information you provide on your application form will help them to match you with the right dog.

We’d love to chat…
